The mission of Tyler Friends of the Poor is to serve the poor of Tyler and surrounding area in the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul. Our primary focus is supporting the works of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Immaculate Conception Conference.
Tyler Friends of the Poor was created in 2010 in an effort to generate an endowment that would provide growing annual support for the Immaculate Conception Conference of St. Vincent de Paul in Tyler, Texas.
Hundreds of families in the Tyler area receive much-needed assistance each month through the generosity of those in our community who support the works of SVdP with their time, talents and treasure. As the needs of those in our community have continued to grow, so too has the ministry of SVdP, thanks to the generosity of our donors and the expanding team of volunteers at the Center and at the Thrift Store.
Tyler Friends of the Poor focuses upon growing the endowment for perpetual support to the Immaculate Conception Conference of SVdP by means of major donations and bequests through estate planning. Over the years, the endowment surpassed $650,000 in 2023., thus enabling a gift of $32,500 to the SVdP in Tyler in 2023. We plan to increase annual gifts as the endowment rises further in years to come. All donations received are greatly appreciated as a means of helping those in need..
Tyler Friends of the Poor thanks you for for your continuing generosity towards SVdP, as we look forward to providing further funding to this incredible ministry.
